Rorbu 13 in Tind

A rorbu is a traditional wooden fishermen cabin on the Lofoten Islands. Rorbu 13 in the little village of Tind is owned by our company. It is simple but cozy and authentic. The rorbu has two bedrooms, one bathroom with shower/WC and a living room with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Meals are not included in the stay.

On the Lofoten Islands we can offer you a very unique accommodation: staying overnight in a rorbu. A rorbu is a small cabin, traditionally built on the shore, often on poles sticking out in the sea. The first rorbu was built in Lofoten in the 12th century for visiting fishermen during the winter cod season. Today the rorbus are rented out to visitors and they vary in shape, size and standard.

Rorbu 13 in Tind is our very own rorbu which we rent out during the summer season. In our attempt to create an authentic atmosphere we have furbished the rorbu in a traditional style, but with modern comfort (no TV, phone nor Wifi though).

No meals are included during your stay at the rorbu, but you can either prepare your own meals in the rorbu (small supermarket nearby) or you can go to one of the nearby restaurants, e.g. the restaurant by Å Rorbuer or the Maren Anna seafood restaurant.

Bed linen and final cleaning are included in the price.
