This tour offers the opportunity to try out the most popular winter activities in Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland: snowmobile safari, reindeer safari and dog sledding.
You start the tour by snowmobile, where you have the option to ride your own snowmobile around the Arctic Circle area. Enjoy the beautiful wintery scenery and make some shorter stops to take photos of the snowclad forest. You will also make a stop at a local reindeer farm where you will try out a short but exciting reindeer sleigh ride. Then warm up in the Lappish tepee called “kota”, where hot Lappish berry juice and cookies will be served. Here you will also take part in the mysterious Arctic Circle Ceremony.
Afterwards you will continue to a local husky camp to find out more about dog sledding in the Arctic. You will get to ride in a sled pulled by a team of eager huskies. Then, warm drinks will be served whilst stories are being shared by your guide about the dogs, their breeds, pedigrees and the daily life in the kennel. You are welcome to pet the dogs and take a lot of photos.
The average speed during the snowmobile tour is limited due to the safety and traffic regulations. Two adults will share one snowmobile (additional charge applies if you want to ride your own snowmobile). If you wish to drive your own snowmobile, please let us know during the booking process.

Thermal clothing during the safari (thermal overall, boots, gloves, woollen socks, a scarf and helmets), guide, safety instructions, snowmobile safari, reindeersledding (approx. 400m) and husky sledding (approx. 2km), return transfer from Rovaniemi city centre hotels or Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge, Arctic TreeHouse Hotel or Apukka Resort.
Special conditions: A minimum of 2 participants. If travelling alone, you can still book this experience as there might be other travellers participating. The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid T, A or B driver’s license (i.e. car or motorbike). The driving license must be valid in EU countries. This tour is not suitable for pregnant woman.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions not permit to run the tour as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
